Dr. Bronson Philippa has lectured at James Cook University since 2011. His main focus is software and modelling. In materials science, his primary interests are organic solar cells, photodetectors, and light emitting diodes. In agriculture, Bronson's interests are biosecurity, sensors, near infrared spectroscopy and smart irrigation.

Lindsay has been an IT lecturer at JCU since 1999, teaching and working in various fields of Information Technology over that time including Programming, Web Design and Development, Multimedia, Video Production, 3D Graphics, Business IT and Design Thinking.

Dr Huang holds a PhD in Electrical Engineering from The University of New South Wales, Sydney, Australia. He is the program coordinator for the Master of Engineering (Professional) (Internet of Things and Data Engineering). Dr Huang is a PhD advisor and an expert in deep learning and wireless communications. He is the principal researcher of the Intelligent Computing and Communications (ICC) Lab.

Albert Tang is currently a Lecturer in Engineering at James Cook University. His research works are related to piezoelectric-based monitoring techniques.

Dr Zhigang Lu is a Lecturer with the Discipline of Information Technology, James Cook University since Jan 2023.

​Dr Eric Wang is an early career academic and joined JCU in 2017. He has authored more than 20 high quality papers, and participated in many national and international research projects. He was the runner-up in The Asia-Pacific Robot Contest (ABU Robocon) 2006, and received the best paper award from the IEEE Wireless Communications and Networking Conference, Cancun, Mexico, in 2011.

Prof Wenxian Lin is the Head of Discipline of Mechanical Engineering at the College of Science&Engineering of James Cook University. His research interests encompass computational fluid dynamics, buoyancy-driven flows, turbulent flows, stratified flows, heat transfer, etc.

Elsa Antunes is a Lecturer in Mechanical Engineering in the College of Science & Engineering, James Cook University. She obtained her PhD degree in Chemical Engineering from James Cook University in 2018. Elsa’s PhD was focused on understanding the impact of microwave pyrolysis conditions on biochar properties produced from diverse biomass. Before joining James Cook University, Elsa was Head of Advanced Ceramics Department capitalising more than 10 years employment within industry undertaking research projects.

Dr Mehdi Khatamifar' research interests are computational fluid dynamics, buoyancy-driven flows, turbulent flows, natural convection, heating/cooling systems, heat sinks, heat exchangers, additive manufacturing, innovative heat dissipating materials, solar thermal energy, building heating and ventilation and building facade design.

A/Prof Siva Sivakugan has been lecturing at JCU for over 20 years in the fields of geotechnical engineering and foundation engineering. He is currently managing over 150,000 AUD in research grants and has published over 250 journal articles. 

​Prof Rabin Tuladhar has more than 15 years of experience teaching in the fields of structural analysis and design, mechanics of materials, statics, and transportation engineering. As a Course Coordinator and the past Associate Dean Learning and Teaching, he is also involved in curriculum design, quality assurance in teaching, industry liaison, accreditation, mentoring, and academic advising.

Prof John Ginger has been lecturing at JCU for over 20 years in the fields of structural analysis and design, mechanics of materials and fluid mechanics. In addition to being a Fellow of Engineers Australia, he conducts research and consultancy work in Wind-Structural Engineering and Structural V.

Professor Ron White is the Dean of the College of Science and Engineering at James Cook University. His research areas are diverse ranging from the application of low-temperature plasmas and antimatter for medical diagnostics and treatments, to opto-electronic properties of organic semiconductors for solar cells, light emitting diodes and lasers.

Dr Neil Fraser Neil worked widely in business intelligence, data engineering, statistics, data science, strategy and information management in industry. Since 2016 he has been teaching Applied Data Science at postgraduate level. His interests are in open data, behavioural modelling, natural language processing, visualisation, geospatial intelligence and machine learning for innovation in IoT.

Dr Sourav Das is a Senior Lecturer in statistics and data science with varied and interdisciplinary interests in applied and methodological statistics. His research expertise are in methodology and applications of statistical analysis of time series and spatial processes. He investigates natural events that evolve over space and time, includes landslides, tropical cyclones, river flow and diseases.

Yaseen Gamieldien is an English lecturer at Xi'an University of Technology. In the role as an educator, he is committed to fostering learning and growth among his students.

Doctor of Education, Edison is a teacher in International Engineering College at Xi'an University of Technology. Published researches are related to language, pedagogy, and curriculum.

Muhammad Ali currently serves as a Lecturer at the International College of Engineering, Xi'an University of Technology. His primary areas of research includes Rock Mechanics, Failure Analysis, the utilization of acoustic emissions for fracture analysis, etc.

Nate Honeycutt is an English teacher with over 10 years of experience in the field of education. He has a degree in Psychology from the University of Maryland College Park, which has helped him understand the cognitive and emotional processes of his students better.

Ling Huang has more than six years’ experience in English teaching. As a teacher for academic English courses, she is eligible for teaching English listening, speaking, writing and reading equivalent to IELTS level and DEP courses with expertise in translation and interpretation.

Yuchen Zhang has more than 3 years experience English teaching. She once majored in TESOL in the UK, and obtained the master’s degree.

Zihan Zhang graduated from University of Sydney, Australia, with a Master degree in Education major. She holds a Bachelor degree in Michigan State University, USA, and majored in Education.
